In the past decade, artist Tomonari Nishikawa (Nagoya, Japan), has created a fascinating and exhilarating body of film, video and installation works which embody an energetic exploration of the mechanics of image-making, optics, human perception and elements of the film frame. Images of the natural world, urban environs and shared social spaces are presented anew, realized with extraordinary precision and a joyful rigor.
