Some films have artistic merit and this is definitely one that will creat some clear divisions. For me, it was too long, at 11 minutes, it just seemed like overkill. It is basically the Sleeping Bear Dunes of Northern Michigan, as documented over the course of 3 years. So while you have to appreciate the time and effort spent, this type of experimental film just isn't overly interesting, especially as shot in an incredibly grainy and dark way. The use of sound, however, was very well done and did create a specific tone and a feeling that we were up-close-and-personal with nature.
